Arizona Winter

I was just viewing my mother-in-laws photos from a recent trip to my home town state of PA. It made me homesick for the fall colors and east coast charm. I then just start thinking about snow and I love the state of Arizona. It is currently mid-70's and my yard looks great.

So my friend Karen's daughter Kasey is doing photography. She is still young but boy is she talented. I wanted some pictures taken of Danielle so we headed down to the Mesa Art Center and she took these amazing photos.....

School Begins!

On Wednesday, August 12, my kids started back to school. Danielle 8th grade- Kyle 12th!
I know you all wonder why I don't have a picture of Kyle posted. Remeber this is Kyle we are talking about. NOT a morning person. The day started by me going waking him up three times and telling him he was going to be late his first day. This did not seem to matter. In the meantime, in the room next door an alarm goes off and a excited 13 year girl jumps out of bed and can't wait to get to school.

I actually return to the boy's room three more times to find him in different clothes each time. He setteled on the last outfit because I told him I was leaving without him. Danielle also tried on three outfits but it was all the night before so she knew exctly what she was wearing with all the accesories.

Another school year under way. Boy does time fly. I will keep you all posted on my progess as a senior (I mean Kyle's progress HA HA)!!!!

I just killed my first scorpion! I am a little freaked out right now. Kyle's friend killed one a few days ago so this makes two deaths this weekend. I knew when we moved into this new house that some dead ones were found during the inspection. I wanted to believe those were the only ones. I have listened to all my friends warn me that scorpions are a common thing in most Arizona homes. I chose not to believe. I will now spend the rest of this day on high alert. I don't know what color that is in military terms but I am there.

The beginning of a 3 day weekend..I am sitting here thinking about what I want to accomplish. I have lots of cleaning projects I should start on but instead by thoughts keep drifting to the vacation I should be taking but that was canceled due to the swine flu.

My son just left for his first day of work as a life guard at the local waterpark. It would have been nice if I could have posted a picture with this entry but he refused to have his picture taken. He hates me taking his picture and along with him not being a morning person, it wasn't happening!!!

As my kids start their summer vacation, I was just looking to see when they go back next year. August 12!!! What happened to school starting after Labor Day.

So EVERY Memorial Day weekend, Matt informs me that it is time to take out the dock. True to form the conversation came up last night. I realize it is not the job itself but the symbolism of the start of summer on the lake that husband is reminded of. Maybe someday we will have our own dock to put out. Actually the more I think about it, I will be the one doing all this dock work because his back issues. Remind me again about how much fun it is to have a dock!!!!

Kyle asked Karisa Farnsworth to his Junior Prom. They have been friends for years and made a great looking couple. Kyle had 16 couples in his group. There were two limos required for this large group of friends.

On April 10-11, Danielle's cheer team headed to LA for a National Competition. She had a great time with her fellow Desert Devil team mates.

So yesterday i had a cheer competition and my team did really good!!! Im on team 5 :) with all the girls in high school so im a fyler ( the one that goes in the air and does cool stuff like libs healstreachs and so forth ) anyways WE GOT 1st AND AND I GET TO GO TO L.A. FOR FINALS!!! :) Im was so excited and we went against 2 other really good teams but since we did so good my team won! :):):):):):):):):)

Becky came to town!!!

Hi this is out first post on the blog we have 4 people in our family. My name is Danielle and i am the youngest of the family i am 12 years old and in 7th grade and do cheerleading and have been doing cheer since i was 4.

My brother is Kyle he is 17 and will be 18 soon he is in 11th grade he does alot of snowboarding and he loves it.

My moms name is Annamarie and she does alot of scrapbooking and does the cutest stuff! She works alot but i still get to spend lots of time with her so its ok.

My dads name is Matt and is the best and nicest person youll ever meet and i love him very much. And thats the Patch family
